Ultimate New York Cheesecake

One packet of Baker’s Blue Label Marie Biscuits, crushed

2 tbsp melted butter

4 tubs of 230g smooth cream cheese

1 1/2 cups white sugar

3/4 cup milk

4 eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup all-purpose flour


  1. Preheat the oven to 175ºC. Grease a 23cm springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the crushed biscuits with melted butter. Pack into the bottom of the pan.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese with sugar until smooth.
  4. Mix in the milk, and then mix in the eggs one at a time, mixing just enough to incorporate.
  5. Mix in sour cream, vanilla and flour until smooth.
  6. Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour.
  8. Turn the oven off, and the let cake cool in the oven with the door closed for 5 to 6 hours; this prevents cracking.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator until serving. Garnish with anything you’d like!
